Getting ready for 2013

We've spent part of the winter planning this year's cruise which will be from Fehmarn in Germany, across to Denmark and then to Sweden.

We plan to sail up the East coast of Sweden in easy stages via Kalmar to the Stockholm archipelago.
For us this represents one of the highlights of the cruise because, although the map doesn't show it, there are over 20,000 islands in this area which should keep us busy for the summer!

In addition we plan to sail over to the Aland Islands, between Sweden and Finland to visit Mariehamm.

We are driving to Fehmarn, leaving on or about April 26th travelling via Holland to meet up with our Dutch friends. Driving is definitely not the most economic option, compared to cheap flights, but it seems like a good idea to be able to take even more stuff on to the boat!

By the time we get Jomora ready and launched we will probably not leave Fehmarn before May 6th, which is no bad thing as the weather in Sweden can still be very cold at nights at this time of the year.
